crown muse

Submitted by troy on Tue, 07/15/2008 - 23:58

This day he sits,
cool; but from wind
not lack of fire

of flowing piquant wit
upon a throne
that throws desire

to away,
from afar,
silent may,
burden mar

A sine in the sea
caps of white debris
remains of a day
left in memories,
haunting dire

Persona Defined

Submitted by troy on Tue, 07/15/2008 - 15:37

Staging light
on a thin delight
the sparkle shines
amongst illustrious divine

Lucky chance
at life's dance
Fell onto cupid's lance, perchance

So let us speak
veracious
And lest us devour
voracious

A precious trickle
of Love we're shown
That conquers envy, evil,
our souls are sewn

To once upon a lifetime
of a heart that always beats
In a mortal,
ideal to hear
a song only learned
by the grace of the angel's feat

So as we look and as we listen
we read the pages from the eyes that glisten
in the light, in the wind, or in the modest waves

Finis

And so the time passes,
and so the liquid in the glasses,
fills hearts tangible,
of one so sweet.
Now and then
we cater hereafter,
then spend our lives
speaking ever faster,
then,
a minute of midnight
the moonlight,
the foresight,
delight;
that is laughter
shared by faux prints
of a master.

A Mindful coup d'oeil

Submitted by troy on Sat, 06/14/2008 - 01:35

Through an eye
to a mind replendent
A prevenient glance
A heart grown pendant

Her song never ends
in a voice not spoken
but a symphony fondly sends
a warm greeting, not broken

Now and then exists
Around Her ocean
The ups and downs not lost but frozen
In a field that taps a foot to a rhythm
wide open
To a bold stance that says to you
that is, itself, an ardent poem

I'll just try again . . .

I'm whisking my eyes toward yours that won't stop seeing,
on a sunny day that is outshined by a smile not fleeting.
Forever can be never, I said to sound wise,
but not having thought it, many were deaf to the sound of my cries.

Once is enough so that I'm being specific
Twice is better, and some would say that thrice is even terrific.
A second message, that, hopefully, you'll see, and be anxious to read
If not, I'll be strong so I'll not cry, nor shall I drown myself in mead.

This and that, I said again, everything you've heard before

Efflorescence

Submitted by troy on Thu, 09/27/2007 - 05:57

I followed the dim sequel of a bright commencement to its center,
but it bled into a jar of sugar.
I walked away on a sphere to the west to hide from the red dagga that invaded my lung,
but the jester approached as I rang from the east.
Then, a fluke of the mind dazzled with scintillescent eyes that stared at me,
so close I could scent the intelligent mint on the breath of beauty.
But it was nigh with naught, fleeting as it was,
that I took against absence and to where sooth betrayed.
In its stead, I reached from the fugue and grabbed Nothing that I could see,

Pam, tell God I said Hello

Submitted by troy on Wed, 07/18/2007 - 19:47

On a day less than a full moon ago
to me, a spirit was made known
and spoke few words,
which were "Hello"

I saw the fire in your eyes
when you saw the music and realized
'this is my home, where my soul roams'
and I knew you were more valuable than gold

With voices of angels, we shared conversation
that lasted but a moment in time
And at its declension, You hugged me and promised
the notes would roll thunder
and numbers are dialed like wine

But a fate rode on the bullet that invaded your mind
like an idea; then sealed, as the world went blind

An Afternoon

Submitted by troy on Wed, 10/11/2006 - 15:35

An afternoon, that was Bliss,
Snake’s tongue, without the hiss.
Red fang’s juice, on my lips,
Wine glass cheers, with many tips.

To Say a word, beneath the sun,
Many appear, in my mind.
Today’s one later, than yesterday’s flavor;
And as it remains; my day, that was to savor.
